Michael Mirasol's Nausicaa Essay

Melvin has once again sent me an interesting link involving animator Hayao Miyazaki (creator of Studio Ghibli).
Head over here for an interesting essay and analysis (in both words and video) of Miyazaki's Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind.
As some of you may know, I'm a huge fan of Miyazaki, and anything singing his praises is more than welcome on this blog. The man is a story telling genius and he always advocates strong female heroines, as well as the importance of protecting the environment - two topics I find of great importance. I highly recommend any of his films - all of which we have in the library system. So go and check them out.

All the best,

Jess
